Tuition for Oregon residents attending Central Oregon Community College rose by 5% for the 2022-23 school year, based on the latest figures, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.
This year, in-state students paid $6,417 to attend the two-year public college, an increase of $306 from the $6,111 charged during the 2021-22 academic year.
Non-resident tuition for the 2022-23 year was $12,609, which is 96.5% higher than the in-state rate. This represents a 4.6% increase from the $12,051 non-residents paid in 2021-22.
Approximately 87% of the undergraduate student body at the college are Oregon residents, while about 6% come from other states.
Data indicates that 84% of full-time undergraduates who began studies at Central Oregon Community College in 2022-23 received some form of financial aid. A total of 375 students were awarded grants or scholarships amounting to $2.8 million, and 158 students obtained student loans exceeding $986,587.
Among all undergraduates, 1,637 students benefited from grants or scholarships totaling $12 million. Additionally, 777 students borrowed $4.4 million in federal student loans.
