City of Oregon issued the following announcement on May 25.
Clackamas County will close South End Road between 5th Avenue and Barker Avenue in Oregon City, May 23 through November 24, 2022. Find detour route here.
The closure allows crews to build two types of retaining walls designed to prevent future landslide activity on the embankment along the north side of South End Road. Work also includes reconstruction in the roadway where cracks have surfaced. Drainage will be improved on the west side of the road to carry water away from the roadway to prevent future damage.
