City of Oregon issued the following announcement on May 26.
The Oregon City Pioneer Community Center has an immediate opening for a Nutrition Assistant. This is a part-time AFSCME union position that will be 25 hours per week. City application, resume and answers to supplemental questions are required to be completed for this recruitment. This recruitment will remain open until filled; however, may close at any time. First review of applications will be on Wednesday June 8, 2022.
The purpose of the Nutrition Assistant is to assist the Meals on Wheels coordinator and Food Service Worker by providing basic kitchen preparation and support for delivery of meal services. This is a non-technical position and provides basic assistance in packaging food and heating and serving readymade meals. This position prepares work areas for volunteers and, sets up the serving area and dining room for senior and disabled clients. The position may assist the Meals on Wheels Coordinator with paperwork, and duties as assigned.
The Nutrition Assistant performs food preparation duties for hot food lines and for transport to homes and remote sites.
$15.35/hr. to $21.09/hr.
