Wasco County is home to 14 registered sex offenders in Q2

There were four more registered sex offenders living in Wasco County in the second quarter of 2022 compared to the previous quarter, according to the Oregon Sex Offender Registry.

There were 14 sex offenders registered in Wasco County in the second quarter of 2022, compared to 10 the quarter before.

The Registry shows 28-year-old Kody Mitchell Eastman was the youngest sex offender living in Wasco County in the second quarter of 2022.

Charles P Rood was the oldest at 86-years-old.

Oregon has the highest population-adjusted rate of sex offenders - about 749 per 100,000 people.

In 2020, about 11,487 unique victims of child abuse were reported in Oregon, but studies of victims have shown less than 30% of sex crimes are reported to law enforcement.
