Our Public Works crews are ready to hit primary and secondary streets with cinders if/when area roads become icy. While cinders will help, they will not hinder drivers from slipping and sliding. If you can possibly get those last minute errands done now, you'll be better off. Drive slow and give yourself plenty of stopping distance.
When it comes to walkways, do you have ice melt or other natural products to help make your walkways less slippery? How about slip-on grips for your shoes?
If at all possible, just stay home.
