Crook County is home to six registered sex offenders in April

There was one less registered sex offender living in Crook County in April compared to the previous month, according to the Oregon Sex Offender Registry.

There were six sex offenders registered in Crook County in April, compared to seven the month before.

The Registry shows 30-year-old Logan Wesley Jansson was the youngest sex offender living in Crook County in April.

Thaddeus Andrew Stacy was the oldest at 62-years-old.

Oregon has the highest population-adjusted rate of sex offenders – about 749 per 100,000 people.

In 2020, about 11,487 unique victims of child abuse were reported in Oregon, but studies of victims have shown less than 30% of sex crimes are reported to law enforcement.
