Census Bureau: 76.5% of people in Hood River County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 23,915 citizens living in Hood River County in 2021, 76.5% were old enough to vote, equating to 18,296 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 9,270 were male, constituting 50.7%, and 9,026 were female, making up 49.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Hood River County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 79.2%.
