5.5% of Deschutes County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Deschutes County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.5% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 5,530 people out of the 194,964 living in Deschutes County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Deschutes County has decreased compared to the 5.6% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Deschutes County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.6%.

Of the 95,914 people who had a job during that time, 166 were employed in the Armed Forces and 95,748 belonged to the civilian labor force.
