At 5:05 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23, Washington State Cougars pitcher Gavin Derr, formerly of Mountain View Senior High School, helped his team secure a 5-4 win over the Cal Poly Mustangs in an NCAA Division I baseball game.
Baggett Stadium was the venue for the contest, marking the fourth time these teams have met this season. Each side has won two games in the series so far.
Derr gave up one earned run over 2.2 innings and allowed two walks.
Washington State is set to play its next game Thursday, Feb. 26, at Bohl Diamond at Blair Field against BYU.
